About Me
My background
Thomasena is a self-taught artist, digital artist, and photographer living in Ohio. She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana and grew up in South Carolina. She graduated with honors with an AA in Liberal Arts and Sciences. She also earned a BA in Communication Studies while she consistently achieved the high academic distinction of being placed on the Dean's List. At the same time, she was honored as a Departmental Scholar in the Communication Studies Department.
Thomasena's passion for creativity and art began at a very early age. She was very active in the arts during her academic years. She began creating art when she was a child with drawings and writing poetry which has continued throughout her life. Her ability to draw and her educational studies allowed her to develop a passion and appreciation for art and how art communicates with us throughout our daily lives.
Thomasena's endless inspiration is due to her love for travel which has allowed her to develop her photography skills for 19 years. Much of her creative artwork is inspired from her travels throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, Paris France, and London England. Thomasena blends her photography skills with her artistic skills to create her own unique style. Her style is simplistic as well as powerful.

Since 2016, Thomasena has been creating art which is inspired by her love for travel and the universe. Creating art is her passion. She is a self-taught artist, digital artist, and photographer living in Ohio.

My vision
I am usually drawn to environments and subjects that have something unique and different. I usually choose calming and bright & bold colors that gives my art the ability to communicate to all who view it. I believe that every artwork that I create is an opportunity for me to share art that is exclusive.
My artwork is inspired by all my travels throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, Paris France, and London England. My love and passion for travel developed my photography skills which I have blended and combined with my artistic skills to evolve into a digital artist.
My artwork is my expression of what represents freedom without rules and limitations. It represents my encounters and explorations during my travels as well as my everyday life that allows me to create while experiencing the beauty within the universe. My unique artistic style explores the links between communication and art. My art allows me to express my existence while appreciating all the beauty that is within the universe.
When I create my art, I allow my higher being and my creativity to take control. I utilize photography techniques. I create colorful art that is visually stimulating by combining my photography and artistic creativity skills.
I want my artwork to ignite emotional reactions with diverse interpretations while being visually stimulating and charming. I want my artwork to take you on a pleasurable journey while engaging your mind, broadening your awareness, and giving you new perspectives while expressing humanity. I want my artwork to move you as well as communicate and be interpreted without judgement. Although the majority of my work is abstract, I have a very extensive creative range. I utilize a combination of photography, colors, and forms that communicates to the visual senses. I believe art communicates to people & gives them the opportunity to embrace the universal language of art while enriching their daily lives.
